On Monday, March 5, famous jazz saxophonist Dave Liebman worked with North and South instrumental music students in the East Stroudsburg Area School District. This collaboration was due to a grant awarded to the Buck Hill-Skytop Music Festival. Many thanks go to the Buck Hill-Skytop Music Festival for this outstanding educational opportunity for our students!
These students from ESE were recognized for earning a positive call home. Way to go!
The Resica Elementary Second Grade students presented the musical "Flakes" (a celebration of snow, slush and snirt!). The audience enjoyed a wonderful show as Flakes and Snirts (snow and dirt) helped the Littlest Snowflake see how no two flakes are alike and we are all special in our own way!
Gifted students from East Stroudsburg High School South direct some ice-breaking activities with the elementary gifted students at February's IF Institute. The high school and elementary students also worked together using video technology and reader's theater. IF Institute is a monthly forum for the elementary gifted students in the District. The high school students provided mentoring in communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
